A popular sports pub with seven locations scattered throughout the state is relocating its Summerville site.

Charleston Sports Pub is moving from its current 9730 Dorchester Rd digs to a new spot just up the road, next to Lowes Foods of Summerville at 10040 Dorchester Rd. According to a recent Facebook post, the establishment officially closed its doors on May 27, 2024 to prepare for the move.

In the post, owner Perry Freeman of Freeman Hospitality Group wrote, “We have loved every second of this location and so grateful for our great guests, but we simply outgrew this building. We hope all of our amazing guests will be by to see us at our new location!”

Charleston Sports Pub has been voted Best Sports Bar in Charleston for seven consecutive years. The establishment is known for its buckets of beer and range of bar food, including pub pretzels, wings, burgers, and chicken tenders. The eatery also serves a variety of salads, sides, sandwiches, ribs, tacos, and quesadillas.

While patrons can expect the same cold beer and bar bites at the forthcoming location, Freeman told What Now Charleston that the new space will be much larger, featuring “way more TVs, arcade games, and a killer outdoor patio with turf, tables, TVs, and a few surprises.”

While a grand opening date has not yet been pinned down, Freeman said he’s hoping to open the new Summerville site within the next few weeks. Follow Charleston Sports Pub on Facebook and Instagram to stay updated on the latest developments.
