Eggs Up Grill, the rapidly growing breakfast, brunch and lunch chain, is opening in Bluffton’s New Riverside Village neighborhood. This franchise location is helmed by area residents and married couple Lori and George Hutson. It is scheduled to open in the first part of March, George Hutson told What Now Charleston.

“We both grew up in Bluffton and so did our kids, so we’re really excited to open here,” said Hutson.

“New Riverside Village is fairly new and it doesn’t have any restaurant options. We think it’s an amazing opportunity and it’ll be great for the neighborhood. We also look forward to being involved in the community, supporting local kids, schools, law enforcement and first responders. We’re right across the street from a fire station so we’ll be inviting them over to eat for sure.”

The 2,871 square-foot Bluffton space will serve the chain’s signature menu items like the founder’s recipe corned beef hash, omelets, buttery, grilled blueberry muffins, classic breakfast dishes, and lunch selections including burgers, melts, salads, and more.

When asked if they’re planning to open more restaurants, Hutson responded, “We want to do a second Eggs Up at some point in about a year, but we haven’t decided on a location yet. For now, we’re focused on getting this one going.”

Founded in Pawleys Island, Eggs Up Grill has nearly 70 open locations and around 100 more under development throughout the South. Bluffton will be open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., and will also offer catering.
