A new spot for sweet treats is coming soon to North Charleston.

Next month, Russian pastry chef Elena Werkheiser will launch Chatty Magpie Café at 3620 Ashley Phosphate Rd, Suite 2 in the Pepperidge Plaza shopping mall.

Elena’s journey from overcoming the trials of single motherhood to owning her own bakery is a testament to her perseverance and passion for pastries. Her vision is to create a place that not only offers delicious treats but also nurtures a sense of community in the local area.

The café will feature a selection of handcrafted desserts, including pies, scones, brownies, artisan cookies, tarts, and custom cakes. In addition to these offerings, Werkheiser recently introduced an innovative concept called ‘Chatty Cups’—a self-contained pie in a cup designed for ultimate convenience and perfect for individual enjoyment.

Chatty Magpie Café is set to host its grand opening celebration on October 17, 2024, according to Charleston Daily. For the latest updates, follow the café on Facebook and Instagram.
