Rita’s, a national Italian ice and frozen custard chain, has leased retail space in the Lofts Downtown Nexton planned community.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rita’s as the latest addition to the Lofts Downtown Nexton,” said Sharbell Nexton LLC President Thomas Troy in a press release. “By introducing a beloved, renowned brand such as Rita’s, our retail space continues to expand and attract new retailers, providing residents with a diverse range of conveniences.”
The new Rita’s location occupies 1,716 square-feet and will be helmed by franchisees Kelly and Christopher Frevel, according to a Rita’s representative.
The first Rita’s opened in a Philadelphia suburb in 1984. Today, the Italian ice giant has locations in more than 30 states
The Lofts Downtown Nexton is scheduled to complete its next phases later this year, which will include a number of residential amenities. The mixed-use project is part of the larger Downtown Nexton development, situated on nearly 100 acres between Sigma Drive and Brighton Park Boulevard. Once complete, Downtown Nexton will provide retail, dining, hospitality, residential, service, office and commercial outlets.
