A couple of months ago, What Now Charleston reported that the popular ice cream and waffle chain, The Dolly Llama, would be opening two new locations in South Carolina. Now, further details have emerged about the Myrtle Beach site.

Previously, it was believed that Candance and Michael McNerny—owners of the now-open Mt Pleasant and upcoming Charleston locations—would also manage the Myrtle Beach branch. However, it has now been revealed that franchisee Liliana Vasquez will oversee the new site at 505 9th Ave N.

“Customers can create their own waffle, so you can pick your favorite flavors and different sauces, from Nutella to caramel, and then different toppings like fruits or gummy bears, and you can be creative,” Vasquez told WMBF News.

The Dolly Llama is known for its playful and inventive desserts, offering indulgent treats such as milkshakes and bubble waffles, all adorned with an assortment of sweet toppings. In addition to waffles, the eatery will serve ice cream, açaí bowls, and other treats to visitors of the Arts and Innovation District.

Vasquez mentioned that she is aiming for a soft opening later this month, with a grand opening to follow.
