Located at North Kings Highway and 16th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach, Kings Festival Plaza is a retail center home to businesses like Kilgore Trouts and Boardwalk Bikes. Not so long from now, in late 2027 or early 2028, it will also be home to a Food Lion grocery store, according to coverage by The Sun News.

“We are excited to confirm plans for a new Food Lion store in the heart of Myrtle Beach and look forward to serving our neighbors in this vibrant community,” a Food Lion spokesperson said in the coverage.

With more than 1,100 stores, Food Lion is a regional supermarket with a presence in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina, where it is based in Salisbury. It offers everything you need on your next grocery trip.

“We proudly employ more than 82,000 associates and serve over 10 million customers a week,” says a statement by Food Lion. “With our longstanding heritage of low prices and convenient locations, we work to provide the easiest grocery shopping experience for our customers.”

Opening in Kings Festival Plaza, Food Lion will be part of a lineup that also includes a number of restaurants, like La Vinotinto, Why Not Wings, Tu Taco, and Olive Garden.
