A paint-and-sip concept is about to land in Mount Pleasant.

Painting With a Twist is opening soon at 1336 Old Georgetown Road.

This will be the second location for Juliana Hammett, who also owns a Painting With a Twist in Tennessee, the Charleston Regional Business Journal reports.

Painting With a Twist is a popular sip-and-paint franchise with more than 230 studios open or under development in 39 states, according to the company. Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney started the concept in 2007. It was originally called Corks N Canvas. Visitors can bring wine to enjoy while they get creative.

Painting With a Twist offers events like trivia nights and date nights. The new studio will also feature opportunities for other crafting, like blankets and candles.

The Mount Pleasant location will be the third South Carolina location for Painting With a Twist, which can also be found in Greenville and Columbia.
