Rentko’s, a Polish food restaurant formerly based inside of Wiseguys Bar & Grill, is moving into the former Village Bar and Grill space at 3821 N Kings Hwy. According to owner Jack Rentko, the team is finalizing construction and should be open sometime in February

The new location will feature some Rentko’s classics like pierogis, stuffed cabbage, Haluski, homemade sausage, as well as some new items. Funny enough, the Polish joint’s top seller, the London broil steak sandwich, hails from somewhere between Central Europe and the U.S. The fan favorite sandwich uses sliced beef that’s been marinated for two days then slow cooked and smothered with peppers, onions and au jus.

Rentko opened his eatery after previously owning and running another restaurant and a pierogi factory. To create the menu, he used family recipes that have been passed down for generations, but also added his own flair to each dish.
