Nespresso is set to open its first Carolinas store at SouthPark Mall, located at 4400 Sharon Road in Charlotte, with the boutique expected to open in the fourth quarter. The location will be near the mall’s center court and will offer complimentary coffee tastings alongside Nespresso’s coffee and espresso machines, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The new boutique will allow customers to sample Nespresso coffees and receive guidance from the brand’s Coffee Specialists. Nespresso’s U.S. website says customers can visit its boutiques for complimentary coffee tastings and recommendations.
Nespresso’s product lineup includes its Vertuo and Original machine systems, with coffee available across different formats and flavor profiles. The company also offers limited-edition coffees through its boutiques and online store.
The Vertuo line includes machines such as the Vertuo Up, Vertuo Lattissima, Vertuo Creatista and Vertuo Pop, while the Original line includes models such as Lattissima, Creatista, Essenza and CitiZ. Nespresso also sells milk frothers and other accessories designed for its coffee systems.
Nespresso also operates a capsule recycling program in the U.S. The company says customers can return used capsules using its recycling program, with more than 88,000 collection points available nationwide.
The Charlotte store will join Nespresso’s international retail network, which includes more than 800 boutiques across 76 countries, according to the Charlotte Business Journal. The company is currently hiring a general manager for the SouthPark location.
With its SouthPark opening, Nespresso will establish its first physical presence in the Carolinas while bringing its coffee tasting and retail experience to one of Charlotte’s major shopping destinations.
