The WARN filing states that 172 employees will be affected by the decision at the company’s office located at 50 Commerce Drive. The layoffs are scheduled to take effect on April 2, 2026.

T-Mobile, an American wireless network carrier, filed a second WARN notice on March 30, following its initial filing on January 30, 2026. The latest Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice filed with Illinois state officials confirms additional layoffs planned for April 2, 2026.
The second filing states that a total of 172 employees working at 50 Commerce Dr., Suite 130, Schaumburg, IL 60173, will be affected. The company has not shared any official reason for the job cuts or specified the roles that will be impacted.
According to a GeekWire report, the new job cuts come less than two months after the prior layoff announcement. In January, the company announced that 393 employees in Washington state would be impacted. Roles like analysts, engineers, and technicians, as well as senior positions, were affected by the decision.
In the report, the company stated, “As the next step in our evolution, we’re making changes while continuing to hire to ensure we have the right focus, structure, and momentum to keep changing the industry through innovation and a long-standing focus on customers.”

According to T-Mobile’s fourth-quarter 2025 report, the company showed continued growth even as it adjusted its workforce. The company reported 2.4 million total postpaid net customer additions in Q4 2025 and 7.8 million for the year. Postpaid phone net additions reached over 900,000 in the fourth quarter and 3.3 million in 2025. The company added 261,000 postpaid net accounts in Q4, bringing the yearly total to 1.2 million. The company also recorded 558,000 net customer additions in Q4 2025 and 2 million in the full year in broadband. These figures highlight the company’s position among the best in the industry.
The company generated approximately $71.3 billion in service revenue for the year 2025. This marked an 8% increase compared to the previous year. T-Mobile’s net income reached about $11 billion, supported by steady customer additions and operational efficiency.
