According to a recent permit filing, a new concept aims to debut in the Evergreen Park area at 1823-1827 W 87th Street.

Melvin Brooks Jr., who is listed to be the president of the new concept, stated that this will not be a reopening of Reese’s Lounge which used to reside at 1827 W 87th Street. The permit was also filed under Burnside Lounge, Inc.

A name for the new concept and what it will offer have not been confirmed, while Reese’s Lounge was listed as the name on the permit filing. The permit does state that the new concept will be a tavern, and will reside on the first and second floor.

Reese’s Lounge has been marked as permanently closed for some time, according to Map Quest. Reese’s was described as “…a cozy establishment in Chicago, IL that offers a relaxed atmosphere for patrons to unwind and socialize.”
