According to a recent article from Block Club Chicago, Alexander’s Diner plans to open a third location at 6764 N Sheridan Road.

The third location’s planned opening date will be in the second week of December, according to co-owner Diana Mizhquiri. Alexander’s has been around since the 1960s.

Alexander’s Diner’s website states, “Alexander‘s, a Greek old-school diner in a little corner of the Edgewater neighborhood in Chicago, has been a family-owned business since the early 1960s. Head Chef, Luis Mizhquiri, who is of Ecuadorian descent, has been part of this family business since the late 1980s.”

“Luis migrated to the U.S. looking for better opportunities and started off his journey in Alexander‘s by helping the Katsafaros family run the kitchen. Years later he continued to assist in the kitchen with the Sfikas family.”

“In 2019 Luis made a lifetime dream come true with the accompaniment of his children, Diana, Henry, and Erik Mizhquiri. His children who also have an extended background in the restaurant industry are excited to be part of this team (family).”

“At Alexander’s we strive to provide our guests with a great dine-in experience while serving great food and providing great service, making everyone feel at home with the care and attentiveness from ourselves and our team.”
