Nikola Paunovic and his team have plans for a new bar and restaurant in Lincoln Square.
The owners recently applied for new space at 4624-4632 N Lincoln Avenue. This will be called Lincoln Social and is set to serve cocktails, steaks and other entrees. The space is not yet open, but a grand opening is planned for Jan. 1.
What Now Chicago previously covered Paunovic opening Amano Bistro at 4228 N Lincoln Avenue in the North Center area. This is now a restaurant with an open kitchen serving pastas and appetizers. Now, Paunovic is wanting to debut a casual spot for cocktails and menu items like steaks, seafood, burgers and pizza.
The bar space will have a speakeasy vibe, with craft cocktails and a wine list. The look Paunovic is going for is an old-style establishment, with mirrors on the wall and darker colors for the booths.
“Everyone loves a good bar,” Paunovic said.
Lincoln Social will be next to Sojourn Cocktail Lounge on the west side of Lincoln Avenue. It is a few blocks down from Lincoln Square’s center and the Western Brown Line CTA station. Right now, construction is finishing up inside.
Paunovic said social media accounts for the restaurant and bar will be set up in the coming days.
