A new concept with a taste of India is coming to the northwest suburb.

Biryani Baithak is the one of the newest restaurants coming to Schaumburg at 1125 N Salem Drive. This will be a spot serving Indian and Hyderabadi cuisine. Owner Saad Abdulazeez does not have a firm opening date right now.

The initial announcement came in a social media post on Nov. 19, with no more information other than the restaurant is “coming soon.” A menu has not yet been released, but curry chicken was displayed in one of their posts.

“Authentic flavors, fresh dishes, and the true taste of Hyderabad – coming soon,” says the post.

Biryani is being built at the former Pita & Kabobz location, near the corner of Golf Road and Higgins Quarter Drive. It joins the plaza with Koreana Restaurant, EggMania – Modern Indian Restaurant and Bar, and Chai Biscuit Cafe. This is a short drive from Woodfield Mall.

At the time What Now Chicago reached out, Abdulazeez did not want to provide more information on the project. For more news on the restaurant closer to the grand opening, visit their Facebook page.
