A family owned acai bowl shop with flavors of Brazil is under construction in the suburb.
From their social media, BOA Acai Bowls is on the way to 8 W Campbell Street in the village downtown. This will be BOA’s first brick-and-mortar, as the business has been hopping around local farmers markets the last couple years. An opening date has not yet been announced.
“We are excited to bring you a permanent hub where you can indulge in your daily acai cravings,” says the post.
Boa Acai has already set up at events including the Brazil Festival Naperville, Brazil Festival Chicago and the Mount Prospect Farmers Market. Each acai bowl served with options like granola, banana cacao nibs, coconut flakes and various other fruits. Those ordering can customize their own bowls as well, with drizzles on top like Nutella, honey and peanut butter.
One of the owners, Adrian Ramos is a local realtor in the Chicago area. He partners with Bryan Luna for the business, another realtor who specializes in the suburbs, including Naperville where the team has set up in the past. When What Now Chicago reached out to Ramos and Luna, they were not available for comment.
Boa Acai will be in the heart of downtown Arlington Heights in between Sedona By Manzano Jewelers and Vanessa’s Modern Bride Shop. A Kilwins Ice Cream location is a couple storefronts down, and this is also across the street from Scratchboard Kitchen. It is a short walk from the Arlington Heights Metra station, just north of the shop.
As it gets closer to the opening, the owners will be updating the community on their Instagram page.
