Brother Chimp Brewing is expanding further into the suburbs with a new location planned this fall in St. Charles.
The Daily Herald recently reported that the brewery will be opening a second taproom at 303 N 4th Street later this year. The brewery has been around for five years and already has a location at 1059 W Orchard Road in North Aurora. They advertise their brews as “craft beers that taste like beer.”
Head brewer Sam Altaner told What Now Chicago there is no set date of opening yet, but they are aiming for this winter now. He also said food served at the location is “in the plans.”
The brewery has earned international recognition, with their Ludwig beer winning best Vienna-style lager in the 2024 World Beer Cup. Their beers are available to order or pick up at the taproom.
CEO of Brother Chimp Brewing Steve Newman was not available for comment, but he said in a press release the new location was an opportunity that was hard to pass up. They will showcase many of their Belgian-style beers at the new taproom.
“There is a wonderful brewery scene already established here in this community, and we are looking forward to being able to add to that scene,” Newman said in a press release.
