A new cafe with chais, coffees and light bites is moving into the suburb in the near future.
Chai Corner Cafe is opening at 1855 W Golf Road in Schaumburg, per a recent announcement on the business’s social media. Right now, the space is still under construction. Owner Haajira Khan told What Now Chicago she is hoping to open by Thanksgiving weekend.
“Pouring comfort one sip at a time,” says the description on their website.
Khan has been looking into a new location for around six months. She started the business as a food cart, serving teas, biscuits and desserts. She wants the space for people in the community to come together and socialize.
At the end of May, their social media first teased the new location coming to Schaumburg. This is in the Poplar Creek Plaza, joining Choice Indian Restaurant, Inchin’s Bamboo Garden and Dominick’s Villa Rosa Pizzeria.
Along with the chai teas and coffees, drinks and mocktails will be offered like the minto mojito, mango lassi and sodas. On the food side, empanada, chicken and beef flavors, samosa, spicy noodles, omelets and sandwiches will be served. This is already available on the website.
As of now, the new business is not listed on Google, but Khan will be announcing the grand opening date soon.
