Chick-fil-A, one of America’s favorite chicken sandwich chains, is getting ready to open a new location within Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport at 10000 W Balmoral Ave.

The company’s newest location will be owned and operated by Hyde Park Hospitality and its partner, Phillips Concessions, according to Chicago Business Journal. Chic-fil-A is expected to open in Summer 2022, while an Evolve by Hudson shop has already opened in the terminal. Around the same time as the Chica-fil-A opening, O’Hare is also expected to open a permanent Protein Bar & Kitchen location following a temporary grab-and-go site opening this month.

All of this is a result of the new eastern extension of Terminal 5, which the airport recently unveiled. The extension adds about 350,000 square feet to the terminal while renovating an additional 750,000 square feet of the existing structure. Other eateries have already been announced for this renovation, including Butcher and the Burger, Hampton Social, Bar Siena, and Sparrow Coffee.

Hyde Park Hospitality, led by President and CEO Marc Brooks, is a certified Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise. Other brands HPH works with include Coffee Bean Tea Leaf, New Belgium Brewing, and the Counter. Phillips Concessions, on the other hand, helps franchise globally recognized restaurant concepts such as Starbucks, Einstein Bros Bagels, and Chick-fil-A.

“It is a dream come true to open another 100% minority-owned and -operated business in one of the busiest airports in the world, right here in my hometown,” Brooks said in a statement.
