A praised Chinese and chicken restaurant has big plans for the future.

3 Little Pigs is entering a new chapter as the company’s Instagram page recently announced new locations are coming to the Chicago area. The exact addresses have not been released, but it follows the recent opening of their Bridgeport location at 964 W 31st Street. Right now, the number listed is nine restaurants, but this could change.

What Now Chicago previously covered the Bridgeport location opening in March 2024. At the time, there was no indication the restaurant would be continuing expansion in the city. Owner Henry Cai has not responded for comment on the new locations.

3 Little Pigs was founded in 2020, serving favorites like fried rice, hot pot beef, BBQ pork and rangoon bites. Cai started the company, following his dream to showcase his recipes to members of the community. Since then he has expanded the restaurant to three Chicago locations, Hyde Park, Avondale and Bridgeport, and one California location in Anaheim.

The first takeout spot from 3 Little Pigs was at Molly’s Cupcakes in South Loop. The company also recently operated a test kitchen at the Blind Barber, 948 W Fulton Market. This is no longer happening, but it showcased menu-exclusive items next to the business.

Cai and his company continue their involvement in the community, hosting a Fall Fest Grill Out from 3-9 p.m. on Oct. 10 at Publican Quality Meats, 825 W Fulton Market. More information can be found on their Instagram @3littlepigschi.
