The restaurant serving wagyu beef and yakiniku sear is opening in a renovated building near Chicago’s major airport.

The Daily Herald reported that Chubby Cattle is moving to a new location in Rosemont at 5490 Park Place. This continues Chubby Group’s expansion into Chicagoland. There is not an opening date, but the company is looking at summer next year.

Chubby Cattle has a Chicago location at 2162 S Archer Avenue in Chinatown. The current restaurants have an all-you-can-eat menu, with choices of unlimited meat, broths, seafood, wagyu tartare and more signature Japanese dishes. The menus vary by location, with the Chinatown restaurant offering silver, gold and diamond tier options for dishes.

What Now Chicago previously reported on Chubby Cattle opening at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg. It is still set to open sometime this year. The company is expanding in the U.S. with currently 13 locations, and more across the globe.

According to the Daily Herald report, Chubby Cattle will replace the former Harley Davidson dealership in the Parkway Bank Park Entertainment District. This is close to O’Hare International Airport, joining the plaza with Fogo de Chao Brazilian Steakhouse. The space was recently leased, and renovations will be done on the building to prepare for the opening.

What Now Chicago has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
