Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s are opening in a new location in The Loop alongside other sweet treat spots.

It was recently reported in an article from Crain’s Chicago Business that the Auntie Anne’s pretzel shop and Cinnabon are opening new locations at 163 Michigan Avenue in June. This is part of a project bringing sweet treat spots to the area including The Original Rainbow Cone. On Cinnabon’s website, the business is listed as “Coming Soon.”

GoTo Foods is the company that owns Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon. The company also owns Schlotzsky’s, Carvel, Jamba, McAlister’s Deli and Moe’s Southwest Grill.

There are already four Cinnabon locations in the immediate Chicago area, and nine Auntie Anne’s locations, with others in the metropolitan area.

Cinnabon currently operates over 1,850 locations worldwide, and Auntie Anne’s has over 1,700 locations. Cinnabon recently introduced a new concept in Atlanta and Portland called Cinnabon Swirl, a combination of CInnabon’s products and Carvel ice cream for a new dessert combination. Right now, it looks like the new Cinnabon location will not be this concept.

What Now Chicago has reached out to GoTo Foods, and this article may be updated.
