Chef Makala Garrett is preparing her new restaurant concept this winter.
Kash Kuisines Bistro is a new modern comfort food restaurant opening at 543 N Noble Street. This will be a sit-down restaurant with to-go alcohol beverages served. The opening date right now is tentatively set for Dec. 3.
In a recent social media post from Garrett, she has obtained the keys for the space and is now preparing to renovate it. She is in the process of securing staff and putting the “finishing touches” on building the inside.
Garrett has worked as a private chef in catering in the past, hosting pop-ups throughout the city. Now, she has her own business and is planning the menu for the space. This includes chicken sandwiches, salisbury steak and a unique Italian beef egg roll.
In the past, Garrett has served brunch and dinner items, with chicken and waffles and smoked gouda shrimp and grits being signature menu items. It isn’t confirmed what will be transferring to the menu of the permanent location, but there will also be dessert items on the menu.
The new restaurant is going in at the corner of N Noble and W Ohio streets. This is a mainly residential area of the city, which is just south of the Noble Square neighborhood.
