Deep Purpl, the health food restaurant specializing in acai bowls, is opening a new location in River North, located at 108 W. Chicago Ave.
The Chicago-based company continues to expand throughout Chicagoland, recently opening a location at West Loop in collaboration with Fons, the world’s only vegan empanada shop. The company has another location opening near Loyola University, which will open in a few weeks, pending a successful health inspection. Now, owner Gabriel Fleury tells What Now Chicago he hopes to open another location a few blocks from One Chicago in late May 2022. This River North location will be the eighth for the company.
When these locations open, guests can expect 100% organic, vegan superfoods that are delicious and healthy. Their primary focus is on acai bowls filled with fresh fruits and other toppings such as granola, chia seeds, hemp seeds, etc. The restaurants also offer empanadas, smoothies, and other drinks. Deep Purpl even offers catering for anyone interested in complementing their next big event with dozens of acai bowls. Customers can also use the company’s easy-to-use app to create an order from any of their locations.
When the new River North location opens, it will sit on the ground floor of The Bush Temple Apartments, sitting between a uBreakiFix and a wine shop called Foxtrot. The new Deep Purpl will become the primary health food restaurant on Chicago Avenue. The only nearby competitors for the upcoming location will be RealGood Stuff Co. and two Joe & the juices.
