A new restaurant bringing chicken, smash burgers and homemade ice cream is coming to the village this year.

Rude Rooster recently posted online that the business will be setting up shop at 109 S Main Street, Unit D in Lombard. This is set to be a fast-casual restaurant, and permitting for the space is already done. As of now, there is not a set opening date.

According to owner Ahmad Harb, he and his team have been planning the restaurant for about a year. Of the many sandwich items on the menu, there will be Nashville hot chicken sandwiches. Per their social media, the chicken will be “Halal chicken” which is supposed to be healthy based on how it is prepared.

The restaurant will be near downtown Lombard, across the street from Rosemary and Jeans Public House. Also at the address is MOTW Coffee on the west side of the building. As of now, the Rude Rooster name is up and a “coming soon” sign is in front of the space.

When speaking with the Village of Lombard Economic Development Department, a representative said they are “very excited” about the project. A press release is set to be sent out at a later time.
