A new dining spot featuring hand-selected wines is coming to the northern suburb.
From The Daily Herald, Red Bottle Restaurant is coming to 401 E Dundee Road, and will be the second concept from owner Dmitry Khlebnikov. This will open at the former Social Bar & Grill which closed in November 2024. Khlebnikov told What Now Chicago he is hoping to debut the restaurant on Jan. 3 or the following week.
The location was Siri Indian Restaurant prior to Social Bar & Grill, which reportedly closed after a deadly bar fight last year. The space was vacant, and Khlebnikov found the building to be a great location after looking for six months. Khlebnikov said he and his team are putting the finishing touches on remodeling, and inspections should be done in about a week.
The menu will be exactly the same as the Elmwood Park location, 7438 W North Avenue. Italian dishes like pasta and risotto are the main focus, along with entrees like beef stroganoff, chicken limone and blue fire ribeye steak. Pizzas and handhelds like burgers and wraps are served as well.
“Italian cuisine is the base,” Khlebnikov said.
Local red and white wines chosen by Khlebnikov, rum, tequila and gin will be drinks made at the bar. Both menus are available on their website. Along with being a full-service restaurant, the space will host events like trivia and karaoke nights.
The building is near the intersection of E Dundee Road and S Milwaukee Avenue, and nearby restaurants on E Dundee include Kitchen House Cafe and Wajo Sushi. Khlebnikov will confirm the opening date in the coming days.
