A recent Chicago Eater article states that Episcope Hospitality aims to debut Layla & Ringo’s at 920 N Wells Street.

This will be one of two new concepts coming to 920 N Wells from Episcope Hospitality. “DJ’s Great Room and Layla & Ringo’s should arrive in early 2025 in a sprawling development that cuts across River North, Old Town, and Gold Coast on the Moody Bible Institute’s campus.”

“Started in 2009 by restaurateur David Morton and chef Michael Kornick, DMK Restaurants was behind a number of trendsetting Chicago restaurants, including DMK Burger Bar, Ada Street, and County Barbeque.”

“Earlier this year, he rebranded DMK to Episcope, partnering with two other hospitality-related industry vets, including the founder of RH Hospitality, the group that brought food and beverage to Restoration Hardware.”

Episcope’s website tells us more about Layla & Ringo’s: “Layla & Ringo’s is Chicago’s reliable, modern bodega. Stop by to grab a snack, pick up a last-minute gift, or stay a while to enjoy lunch. Layla & Ringo’s boasts a high-end collection of coffee, freshly made meals, pantry essentials, and bespoke gifts. The residents of River North, Old Town, and Gold Coast know it as their second kitchen, favorite café, and trusted corner market all in one.”
