A nationally recognized coffee brand is moving out to the suburbs this year.
A sign is up for the second Fat Milk Coffee shop in a Naperville shopping plaza coming this year, from recent social media posts. The first shop opened in 2024 at 5018 N Broadway Street in Uptown. Fat Milk has not yet released the location or the opening date.
Fat Milk was founded by Lan Ho in 2024. Ho appeared on the hit show “Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars” before debuting her shop. She pitched her Vietnamese coffee brand to Ramsay and was able to get national attention towards her brand.
“Fat Milk is more than a coffee brand. It’s a condensed, bold challenge to milk life for all it’s worth,” says the description on their website
The company works with Vietnamese farmers to source organic green coffee beans. The cafe offers many specialty drinks, phin drip coffees, teas and robusta espressos. A standout is their “egg coffee with signature,” topped with a “custard-like foam” and the staple Fat Milk. For syrup flavors, vanilla, salted caramel, hazel and lavender are offered.
Along with the coffees, Ho sells Fat Milk merch like an embroidered hoodie, crew socks, hats, glass mugs and coffee kits. Roasts can also be purchased on the website, which go for $25.
What Now Chicago has reached out to Ho and is awaiting comment on the new location.
