Fatburger and its counterpart Buffalo’s Express are adding even more locations in Chicagoland, with a new site coming to Orland Park at 15110 South La Grange Rd., Unit A.
This is the first location from the A.D.T.J. Development LLC franchise agreement, accounting for 25 Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express restaurants coming to Illinois over the next eight years. Now, the development group is getting ready to replace Naf Naf Grill in the Ravina Plaza towards the end of the year. A representative from the company tells What Now Chicago it’s too soon to say in regards to a specific date, but they do plan to be open by late October/early November.
Franchise owner Jackie Jackson, who is a part of this development group, is opening a new Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express in Chatham towards the end of 2022. However, the new Chatham location will not be owned by A.D.T.J. These new locations will represent the official return of Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express in Illinois. The state hasn’t seen a location in almost a decade.
The company used to have several locations throughout Chicagoland. In 2007, Kanye West’s restaurant company, KW Foods LLC, signed a deal to open 10 locations in Chicago but was only able to open two locations, including one in Orland Park. The Los Angeles-based burger chain now operates or franchises over 180 Fatburger restaurants worldwide The company is expected to open several new locations throughout Chicagoland by 2030.
“Every day, we seek out the freshest quality ingredients, handcrafting each and every burger to absolute perfection,” according to the company’s website. “Whether it’s our hand-pressed, never frozen beef patties, scratch-made onion rings, or our homemade chili, if it’s on a Fatburger, you know it’s the best. And it’s not just the Fatburger. Our milkshakes feature hand-scooped, premium ice cream. Our Fat fries are thick cut and fried to a shimmering, golden brown.”
