Owners of a coffee concept have come a long way from opening their first trailer and are now expanding in Northeast Illinois.
The Hinckley Coffee House recently took to social media to announce their first brick and mortar shop is coming to Plano at 6572 US Route 34. Owner Tiffany Foster has been planning a permanent space since debuting her first mobile coffee spot. Right now construction is happening on the inside, and staff are hoping to open by the middle of next month.
Their coffee trailer is also set up in Hinckley at 200 Somonauk Road, in Sandwich at 320 W Church Street and in Sugar Grove at 80 Dugan Road. Their Sugar Grove location just opened this summer, and the trailers feature handcrafted coffees, frozen lemonades, teas, smoothies and pastries like glazed croissants.
Hinckley Coffee has been involved in various pop-ups in the Hinckley area, including the Hinckley Fall Festival on Sept. 27. The owners regularly work with local businesses like outdoor boutiques.
The brick and mortar will be on the west side of Plano near the Walmart off of Route 34. This is the former Shelby’s cafe. It is a relatively quiet area for coffee shops, with the majority of businesses being in downtown Plano or neighboring Hinckley.
Per the latest social media update, construction on the interior including painting and floor work is being done. In the post, it looks like there will be areas for sitting and socializing.
