Four Napkin Hospitality Group is opening a new concept restaurant called The Local Kitchen + Tap in Schaumburg, located at 1140 E. Higgins Rd.

The new restaurant is expected to replace Tilted Kilt Pub, which closed in June 2020, sometime in Summer 2022. A representative from the company tells The Daily Herald they aim to open sometime in August. The new concept will utilize local businesses to create an extensive menu of various American and seafood. Some notable menu items include smoked & brined bone-in wings, parmesan artichoke fritters, Hawaiian smoked BBQ pork sliders, a blackened Mahi sandwich, lobster roll, apple dump cake, and smokehouse benedict.

Family-owned and operated, Four Napkin Hospitality brings groups together over great food and drinks at their three current restaurant concepts. The group currently operates eight locations of Tap House Grill, initially opening in 2006. On top of that, Four Napkin Hospitality also owns and operates Chicago Street Pour House & Kitchen in Elgin and Harbor Kitchen + Tap in Libertyville. The Local Kitchen + Tap will showcase the group’s 50+ years of experience within the restaurant industry with another great restaurant that serves delicious food and various drinks.

“The Local Kitchen + Tap is a casual dining hotspot that works closely with local vendors to deliver high-quality food & beverages in a fun and inviting atmosphere to the Schaumburg area,” according to the restaurant’s website. “From bakeries & butcher shops to distilleries & breweries – you will know that the items on your table are from the local vendors in and around the Schaumburg area.”
