The sports bar concept with over 200 beers on tap at their locations is planned for the northern suburb this year.
From The Daily Herald, a new Fatpour Tap Works location could be coming to 200 S Main Street in Mount Prospect this year. The restaurants are known for their many brews on tap as well as burgers and appetizers. This project is currently in the planning stages.
Big Onion Hospitality is the company that owns Fatpour Tap Works, with locations in Lincolnwood, McCormick and Wicker Park. It was founded by Arthur Homer, and other brands from the company include Hopsmith Chicago, Woodie’s Flat and Woodie’s Wings. What Now Chicago previously covered Woodie’s Wings expanding to the Oswego and Wheeling suburbs.
Menus at Fatpour feature sandwiches, burgers, build-your-own-pizzas and salad options. The restaurants also run food specials, with the most recent listed being the pesto sandwich with grilled chicken, pesto, mayo and provolone and french bread. Locations also offer game day specials, with discount deals on both drinks and food.
Big Onion’s new Fatpour Tap location will be near the corner of E Prospect Avenue, close to Hubby’s Dog House. Across the street is the Mount Prospect Metra station, so the restaurant will be very accessible by public transit.
The village board is expected to vote on the project next week, but it has been met with overall approval. The timeline of construction is not yet known.
