From the Owners of Penelope’s Vegan Taqueria Will Be a New Concept Called Cafe Mas

According to a recent article from the Chicago Eater, the owners of Penelope’s Vegan Taqueria will open a new concept called Cafe Mas at 2310 W Foster Ave.

A representative of Cafe Mas was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Chicago’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to Cafe Mas’s Instagram announcement, their opening date will be sometime soon. Cafe Mas will be a vegan cafe and coffee shop.

Penelope’s is described as a culinary haven for plant-based enthusiasts and Mexican food aficionados alike. Stated to be Chicago’s first plant-based taqueria, it has taken the art of traditional Mexican cuisine and masterfully transformed it into a plant-powered experience.

The menu is said to be a journey through the vibrant world of tacos and street-style Mexican food, all crafted with the utmost care and authenticity, according to the company website.

According to realtor.com, the property where Cafe Mas will be residing was originally built in 1904. The space is approximately 3,600 square feet, with the lot size being listed at approximately 3,900 square feet.
