According to a recent permit filing, Garcia’s Jazz Restaurant aims to debut in the West Loop at 1001 W Washington Boulevard.
Garcia’s Jazz Restaurant has two LLCs and two people backing the concept. The two LLCs are Garcia’s Chicago LLC and Dayglo Presents LLC. The two people are Peter Shapiro, who is the managing partner, and James Atwood.
Dayglo’s website currently has a Garcia’s section, where it describes the concept as being able to “Experience the Legacy: Introducing Garcia’s, in Exclusive Partnership with the Family of Jerry Garcia.”
According to Dayglo’s LinkedIn profile, “Dayglo Presents is a live music and media company led by independent music impresario Peter Shapiro. Since its inception, Dayglo Presents has built a reputation for creating unique and meaningful experiences.
