It looks like Godega Market & Coffee Bar may be getting a second location in the Chicago area.

The business’s owner David Kerr recently put in a liquor license application for 114 W Chicago Avenue. This is at the same building as Ingrained snack bar in the River North neighborhood. Currently, Godega is based in Omaha, Nebraska, and this would be their third location.

Godega is a unique concept in that they offer coffee and drinks like a regular coffee shop, but they also have a convenience market that sells grab & go food, coffee, craft beer, wine, ice cream, pastries, soft drinks and some household items. At their coffee shop, they also sell handmade drinks like the cherry vanilla dirty soda, lavender lemonade as well as Irish coffee and other alcoholic drinks.

“We’ve reinvented the neighborhood corner store,” says the description on their Instagram page.

They have two locations in Omaha, one 423 11th Street and the other at 1917 S 67th Street, Suite 120. Their original Omaha location is open every day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The hours of operation for this new location is not yet known.

What Now Chicago has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
