I Heart Mac and Cheese Coming to Chicago with Three New Locations

The company will be opening locations in Schaumburg, Glenview, and Lincoln Park

I Heart Mac & Cheese, the fast-casual concept specializing in customizable, made-to-order macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches, is opening three new locations in Chicago.

There is no set opening date for these locations, but it appears the first to open will be in Schaumburg, located at the upper level of the Woodfield Mall, next to the Burger King. The other two locations, with unknown addresses, will be coming to Glenview and Lincoln Park. These will be the first I Heart Mac & Cheeses coming to Illinois, with another location coming to Urbana, at 202 E. University Ave., according to their website. It is unknown who will be the franchisee of these locations.

The company, which first started in 2016, has its eyes set on opening new locations across the entire country. According to their website, the company has plans to open dozens of sites across 25 different states. Part of this massive expansion comes with a recent store redesign, which the company planning to launch later this year. New features include a lush green wall, natural wood elements, and iconic bright yellow seating, creating a comfortable ambiance that invites guests to dine in. The all-new modern design will debut in Columbia, S.C. this August.

“Restaurants across the country are reopening, and prioritizing the dining experience for our customers is more important now than ever before,” said Steve Giordanella, CEO and Chairman of I Heart Mac & Cheese. “Our new design is part of the process, as we work toward creating the most welcoming environment we can.”
