Matt Kleinman has plans to bring a lounge serving international small plates and craft cocktails and beer to 736 N. Clark St. in Chicago. The lounge is currently in the liquor licensing phase, and we were unable to reach Kleinman at the time of publication to learn when exactly The Marvel will open.
We can tell you The Marvel will offer an upscale experience devoted to the all the senses. The eatery and lounge will offer internationally-inspired cuisine and “a celebration of rich cultural diversity and bold flavors with an emphasis on style and attention to detail through out.” As recently as the beginning of this month, the eatery was already sourcing produce for its plates.
Not only will The Marvel seek to inspire wonder with its food and drink offerings, the space will feature an art gallery with live entertainment as well.
Located on the corner of N. Clark and W. Superior, The Marvel is setting up shop mere steps from Seoul Taco, Clark Street Ale House, and Brazilian Steakhouse. The area is known for its posh cocktail bars, so The Marvel should fit right in.
You can keep an eye on the lounge’s developments by checking out its website here.
Correction: An earlier version of this story erroneously stated Koni Kleinman is the owner of The Marvel. Matt Kleinman is the Owner; Koni Kleinman is the Administrative Director.
