According to a recent Block Club Chicago article, Maplewood Brewing will soon see some changes at 2717 N Maplewood Avenue.

“The Maplewood Lounge remains open throughout construction. We plan to open the kitchen online and the new room to the public this spring. We will share more details regarding events closer to the date,” co-founder Paul Megalis told What Now Chicago.

“We have taken over the remaining 3,000 sq ft of their building, located at 2717 N. Maplewood Ave. This has allowed us to build out a full restaurant kitchen, hire a respected Head Chef to bring back a full food menu back with some exciting new options, and build out an additional lounge space, which will increase the capacity from ~65 to ~100.”

“We also have added a garage door feature to the front of the building to further enhance their patio experience, added additional bathrooms, draft lines, and cold storage, and expanded their bar to better enhance their ongoing taproom operations. We will continue to serve their award-winning spirits, beers, cocktails, and N/A products.”

“The first of its kind in Illinois to establish brewing and distilling roots under a single roof, Maplewood has been producing finely crafted beer and spirits since 2014. Three years after moving into the production facility, Maplewood opened its Lounge, a neighborhood staple doubling as a taproom and cocktail bar.”

“Beginning commercial distribution throughout Illinois shortly after settling into Logan Square, Maplewood has since expanded its distribution footprint throughout the midwest. Maplewood’s fans have come to expect expertly crafted beer and spirits in a wide range of styles.”
