Naansense, the fast-growing Chicago-based Indian restaurant, has revealed more details regarding its fourth location, coming to Schaumburg at 1200 N. Meacham Rd.

Founders Hiran and Viral Paten currently operate from the company’s sole location in Chicago Loop at 178 North Franklin Street but expect to open two more locations in Naperville and Oakbrook this summer. A fourth location was previously reported by What Now Chicago, but very few details were available. Now, it appears the restaurant will be a part of a proposed five-building development in the former home of Macy’s Furniture Gallery, called Crossroads of Schaumburg, according to the Daily Herald.

The 7.5-acre development recently began demolition after being vacant for at least six years and will welcome five other eateries in Spring 2024. Other restaurants coming to Crossroads of Schaumburg include Lazy Dog, Velvet Taco, Crisp & Green, Piccolo Buco, and Cava. Before Macy’s, the building was home to Marshall Field’s Home Store, which had replaced a research and development lab. Now the busy intersection will soon see a plethora of new eating options sometime next year.

The longtime friends turned business partners began the business to reflect the cultural changes they adopted throughout their life, which includes East Africa, England, and Chicago. Once they finished exploring the world, they decided to open this restaurant to give Chicagoland a new flavor profile. The menu consists of naan wraps and bowls that can be customized and paired with various sides. Naansense also partnered with the one feeds two program so that every meal purchased at the restaurant results in a school meal for a child living in poverty in India.
