A new bar and lounge from Carbon Hospitality Group is coming soon.
The group recently submitted a liquor license application for 1204 W Lake Street on the first floor in West Loop under the name Carbon. The business has made no official announcement but is hiring for positions. According to founder of Carbon Hospitality Nikhil Mohanty, the restaurant is set to open in five weeks.
Mohanty said construction is being finished on areas like the front facade of the building. He added the inside design is inspired by a similar lounge concept in Miami. The group is partnering with influencers in Chicago to help advertise the business.
“Carbon is a next-generation luxury lounge and hospitality destination in Chicago’s West Loop,” says the description on their LinkedIn page. The description also reads their spaces have “top-tier music, elevated cocktails and chef-driven cuisine for the modern crowd.”
The food offered will be an Italian shareable concept, with three to six pieces of steak sliders, steak crostini and bruschetta. This comes along with their signature cocktails which have not yet been announced.
“You can bring your friends and order a couple things,” Mohanty told What Now Chicago.
More updates on the space will be released at a later time. The company is currently hiring for all positions at the lounge. More information can be found at carbon-chicago.com.
