Those in the mood for a nightcap after dining in River North will soon have a new option.

Kitty’s Cosmopolitan Club is the name of a new bar/speakeasy coming to 51 W Hubbard Street, Suite 200. This looks to be joining Crying Tiger, and comes from the same hospitality company Lettuce Entertain You. An opening date has not been set.

“A new door opens this spring,” says a recent post from Kitty’s Cosmopolitan.

From conceptual pictures, those visiting the bar can expect wine, cocktails and, of course, a cosmopolitan. It is part of Lettuce Entertain You’s expansion in the Chicago market, with names like Beatrix and Tallboy Taco, both in Streeterville. The concepts are a range of international cuisines, and this bar’s theme looks to be of a traditional American speakeasy.

Crying Tiger debuted in October last year, serving Southeast Asian dishes like curries, grilled wagyu beef and prawn toast. Opened by James Beard-nominated chef Thai Dang, it has quickly become a popular spot for Vietnamese cuisine. The bar manager for Kitty’s has not been announced.

The bar/speakeasy will be at the corner of W Hubbard and N Dearborn streets, sharing the building with Gus’ Sip & Dip, Holloways Bar, Il Porcellino and Ramen-San. SpringHill Suites by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott are also at the building. A Blue Sushi Sake Grill location is across the street.

What Now Chicago has reached out to Lettuce Entertain You for more information, and this article may be updated.
