A Logan Square Italian ice favorite is moving into the Harlem Irving Plaza this year.
Bella’s Helado De Coco & Italian Ice has been teasing a new location on social media for a month, and now it is confirmed the shop will be at the Harlem Irving Plaza in Norridge. An exact address has not been released at this time. Right now, construction is happening in the interior.
“Stay tuned, familia….the countdown begins!” Says the latest post on their Instagram page.
Bella’s currently has a location in Logan Square at 3523 W Fullerton Avenue. The shop is known for the signature Helado de Coco in a shell, a coconut ice cream flavor. Another popular item is mangonada, a Mexican dessert with mango, sorbet and chamoy with chili powder.
The staff have been recognized by local media in recent years, including ABC 7 Chicago, which featured an appearance from the team displaying their Italian ice flavors. Staff have also showcased the sweets at local festivals.
The original Logan Square shop opened in 2021. According to an article from Block Club Chicago, owner Adrian Pacheco and his family started off as street vendors. Pacheco has stuck to serving Puerto Rican sweets, and following the success of the current location he felt it was time to expand to the suburbs.
More information on the new Bella’s location will be released in the coming weeks. What Now Chicago has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
