A brand new cocktail restaurant called Dearly Beloved is looking to make its debut in Chicago’s Near North Side, located at 900 N Franklin St.

This is the newest concept from Machine Hospitality Group, originally expected to open in Spring 2023, according to the company’s website. Owner Brian Galati tells What Now Chicago the company is at least a year away from having any details or certainties. The group recently applied for a liquor license to move into the first floor, mezzanine, and suite 100 of the Franklin Square building, which is only three blocks north of the Chicago CTA station.

Machine Hospitality Group is a Chicago-based hospitality with venues in River North, Wicker Park, and Nashville, focusing on its cocktail programs, innovative menus, and one-of-a-kind atmosphere. The group was established in 2012, formerly known as Capacity Bar Group, under partners Brian Galati and Chireal Jordan. The group is behind Machine: Engineered Dining & Drink and Headquarters Beercade, which is only a few blocks from this building.

While Chicago has countless cocktail restaurants, none are in the immediate vicinity of Dearly Beloved. The closest similar businesses are The Glunz Tavern, The Franklin Room, and LUXBAR. While it’s too soon to say what exactly this concept will do to attract customers, it’s safe to say customers can likely expect a long list of cocktail options with plenty of food to pair.
