Locals of Lisle and Westmont are creating a new coffee shop in an area that does not have many spots for caffeine.
Creme & Co has been listed online and is coming to 908 Ogden Avenue. The space is designed to be for students studying and families to meet. Co-owner Areej Askar told What Now Chicago they are hoping to open in a couple weeks, and will have a grand opening at the end of January.
“Where comfort meets craft” is their slogan. Their brews will include a vanilla sweet cold foam, lavender cold foam, and specialty drinks like a carrot latte, banana bread latte and golden hour latte. The golden hour latte will be their signature drink. Pastries, as well as cookies with vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
“Visit your loved ones, drop off your kids and come get a cup of coffee,” Askar said in a recent Instagram post, referencing the fact that the shop will be across the street from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool of Lisle.
Askar and her team signed the lease back in May, and they wanted to fill a market as there are not many cafes in this immediate area of Lisle. The business is being built next to 908 Nails, on the north side of Ogden Avenue. This is not far from downtown Lisle, which has most of the suburb’s bars and restaurants.
From their latest announcement, the cafe is nearing completion and the bar top is under construction. Askar said inspections still need to happen, and the team will announce a soft opening date in the coming days.
