A new restaurant that is being kept relatively under wraps is coming to the northern suburb.
From Evanston Roundtable, a new restaurant from chefs Beverly Kim and Johnny Clark is set to arrive in downtown Evanston sometime this year. This is set to offer breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Kim told What Now Chicago she is not ready to disclose any information just yet.
Kim and Clark are the owners of Anelya, a Ukrainian restaurant at 3472 N Elston Avenue in Avondale. Kim is also the owner and chef for Korean spot Parachute Hi-Fi at 3500 N Elston Avenue, which she runs with Clark. Along with the restaurant success, Kim was also a contestant on Top Chef in 2011
The two have been very successful in the restaurant industry since their start over 10 years ago. In 2024, Anelya was recognized in the 2024 Michelin guide. Clark and Kim were also responsible for The Abundance Setting, an industry resource that has received praise for addressing gender inequality in hospitality industries.
Kim said when there is more information on the concept, she will be happy to release it. There is not yet any social media set up for the concept yet.
What Now Chicago has reached out to Kim and Clark for further comment, and this article may be updated.
