Those in need of a new breakfast spot on the South Side may soon have a new option.

Listed owner Rami Brown recently put in a liquor license application for 7433 S State Street for “Waffle Lounge.” This was the location of Joe Willie’s seafood bar which has another restaurant in Harvey. There is no estimated date of opening for the waffle spot.

Not much is known about the space right now other than the fact that it will have waffles as the main menu option. The owner is listed as being with Endurance Hospitality Group Limited, a new organization. There hasn’t been an announcement on social media yet.

It was previously reported by What Now Chicago that Joe Willie’s was opening in March 2022. It used to be the home of J & J Electronics. Joe Willie’s now has a spot in Harvey at 14719 S Halsted.

The restaurant is already listed on Google Maps and will be next to Maxwell Street Polish. It will be near other spots on E 75th Street, including Super Seafood and Steak Market, No Sauce AZ Smokehouse and Soul Veg City.

What Now Chicago has reached out to the owner, and this article may be updated.
