According to a recent job post, Ostras Latin-Asian Oyster Bar plans to open in Des Plaines at 3003 Mannheim Road.

“Ostras is a fine dining Latin-Asian Oyster Bar that is opening soon and rooted in the vibrant culinary heritage of the 19th parallel north, connecting Mexico with Southeast Asia. Our mission is to celebrate the rich fusion of flavors from Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, China, and Southern Mexico, crafting a unique dining experience where exceptional ingredients and creative methods highlight each dish.”

“We value craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous learning, fostering a positive environment where our team members can grow and thrive. At Ostras, we are committed to delivering thoughtfully crafted dishes and an unforgettable journey in taste.”

It looks like that prior to Ostras, the Des Plaines address was a Travelodge location. According to Yelp, the company is marked as permanently closed.
