A restaurateur with a Northbrook Korean food spot is coming to the northwest neighborhood next year.
A social media account called Mansun Pocha has been posting about their new Korean street food concept coming to Logan Square. The restaurant is going in at the former Roadhouse near the neighborhood’s center. Owner James Shin told What Now Chicago it will open sometime in 2026.
“We’re blending tradition with energy–think bold dishes, late nights and unforgettable moments,” says the description on their website.
Shin also owns New Village Gastro Pub, a Korean street food concept at 3566 Milwaukee Avenue in Northbrook. There is not a menu released as of yet, but it will be influenced by the menu of New Village. It includes fried dumplings, assorted steamed dumplings, corn cheese, a dried fish platter and sweet soy popcorn chicken.
Mansun will join neighbors La Lunita and The Crab Pad. This is a developing area of Chicago as What Now Chicago previously covered La Lunita opening in May.
Shin has been planning the concept for about three years. It will be “inspired by the spirit of pocha culture,” according to the website. The team is in the early planning stages right now.
