The Vietnamese restaurant is stepping foot into a new area of west Chicagoland.
Pho Thien Vietnamese Kitchen will debut a new location at 2365 N Farnsworth Avenue in Aurora. This is just west of the Chicago Premium Outlets mall. Owner Thien Nguyen told What Now Chicago the estimated opening date right now is April 10.
The Southeast Asian cuisine spot has been around for about 10 years, serving Naperville at 931 W 75th Street #177. Nguyen opened the restaurant with her family as they wanted to deliver Vietnamese dishes with fresh ingredients to the area. This marks their first expansion in the area.
“Ten years ago, we opened our doors with a simple goal: serve our Vietnamese family recipes that bring people together,” says the description on their website. “Thank you for choosing us, sharing meals with us and supporting our small team through every season.”
The menu for Pho Thien is extensive, with appetizers, sandwiches, and lunch and dinner options available. While signature dishes like pho are served, the Naperville location also offers original options like the Banh Mi Thit Nuong, a marinated grilled pork sandwich. All of the menu items are available on their website.
The second location is coming to the east side of N Farnsworth Avenue, in the plaza with Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria and Noodles and Company. Chicago Premium Outlets, a very popular shopping area, is accessible by going behind the plaza on Premium Outlet Boulevard. The status of construction has not been released.
Staff just recently announced the new restaurant on Feb. 26, and construction is underway. What Now Chicago is awaiting further comment from Nguyen regarding the opening.
