A new restaurant from the owners of the Lincoln Square bar and tavern is coming next month.

Block Club Chicago reported on Piccadilly Pub replacing The Green Post at 4749 N Rockwell Street. This will be an English pub concept behind the Piccadilly Market. There is not yet an opening date, but it is listed as “coming soon” sometime in December.

The new concept is described as a “neighborhood chippy and bar.” Its menu will feature English gastropub items including crispy fish, loaded chips or fries and a $9 smash burger. Inside, there will be pub games like darts.

“A place to gather, catch a match and share a laugh,” says the recent post from the Green Post’s social media.

Owner Aaron Zacharias is introducing Piccadilly Pub following the opening of The Green Post in 2022. It offered English pub items like corned beef hash and a posh egg sandwich. Fish and chips will be a focus of the new menu.

The Green Post is next to Piccadilly Market, and the new restaurant will go along with the theme on this side of Lincoln Square. In the building to the east of Piccadilly Market, Kimberli Sushi and Thai Cuisine, El Charro Mexican Food and TEACAGO operate.

Zacharias’ former concept closed in September, and he has also opened The Northman on the Riverwalk and Bar on Buena. He is bringing in the same ownership team to open Piccadilly Pub.

What Now Chicago has reached out to Zacharias, and this article may be updated.
