The Promontory to Bid Farewell by This Year’s End
Known for pairing full-service dining with live concerts, The Promontory has been a key cultural landmark in Chicago. Located at 5311 S Lake Park Ave W, Chicago, IL 60615, the restaurant made a sad announcement on October 14.
After 11 years in operation, the venue will close at the end of the year. The restaurant did not give a reason for the closure but thanked Hyde Park and the University of Chicago for their support over the years.
The post read, “So come in to say farewell, have a good drink, and a hearty hug from all of us who love this place. Promontory will be open through our NYE party, and we hope to welcome you in one more time”.
